Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what CapDownloader does — and deliberately does not do — with your data.

What we don't collect

• No accounts. You never sign up, so we hold no names, emails or passwords.
• No video storage. Videos are processed on the fly and streamed to your browser; we do not keep copies of the videos you download.
• No link history on our servers. Your recent-downloads list is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and never leaves your device.

What we do collect

• Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records IP addresses and request times for security and abuse prevention. Logs rotate automatically.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (page views, countries, devices). This data is anonymized and never tied to the links you paste.

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies of our own. Google Analytics may set its standard cookies; you can block them with any cookie or ad blocker without affecting downloads.

Third-party content

When you download a video, our server fetches it from CapCut's content delivery network on your behalf. Your browser never contacts CapCut directly for the file.

Your responsibility

Only download videos you have the right to save — your own creations or content whose owner permits downloading. CapDownloader is not affiliated with CapCut or ByteDance.
